What Ticketkaran is
Ticketkaran lets fans discover and buy tickets for events, and lets organisers list and sell those tickets.
- We are a platform. We are not the organiser, venue, artist, or team unless we say so on the event page.
- The organiser is responsible for the event happening as described.
- E-tickets, QR codes, and confirmation emails are the usual delivery method. There is no physical shipping unless an event page says otherwise.
Who may use Ticketkaran
- You must be 18 years or older, or use Ticketkaran with a parent or guardian who accepts these terms.
- You must give true name, phone, and email details.
- One person, one account. Do not share login OTPs or passwords.
- We may refuse, freeze, or close an account if we reasonably suspect fraud, resale abuse, or a legal risk.
Accounts
- You are responsible for all orders placed from your account.
- Keep your phone and email current. Tickets and refund updates go there.
- Tell us at [email protected] if you think someone else used your account.
Orders and payment
- An order is an offer to buy. It is confirmed only after we send a confirmation and the payment succeeds.
- Prices are shown in the currency on the event page. Checkout is the final amount.
- Shown price may include or exclude convenience fees, payment-gateway charges, and applicable tax. The checkout screen is the amount you pay.
- We use a payment partner that can take India and international methods (including cards from abroad). Their terms also apply to the payment step.
- If a payment is delayed, fails, or is reversed (chargeback), we may cancel the ticket and block the account.
Tickets
- A ticket is a limited licence to attend that event, on those terms, in that seat or category.
- It is not real estate and not a financial instrument.
- Name changes, transfers, and official resale are allowed only if the event page and organiser allow them.
- Screenshots of another person’s ticket, copied QR codes, and unofficial resale can be cancelled at the gate without refund.
- We may ask for ID that matches the buyer name.
Unofficial resale and scalping
Ticketkaran may run an official transfer or resale tool later. Until an event page says “transfer allowed”:
- Do not sell Ticketkaran tickets on social apps, touts, or other sites.
- We may cancel tickets we reasonably believe were bought only to scalp.
- Organisers and venues may refuse entry for unofficial tickets.
Cancellations, postponements, and changes
- If the organiser or venue cancels, postpones, or materially changes an event, their rules plus our Refund & Cancellation Policy apply.
- Ticketkaran does not guarantee that every event will happen on the printed date.
- Seat maps, line-ups, and supporting acts can change. That is not always a full refund event.
Platform fees
Convenience fees, payment fees, and service fees are usually non-refundable unless the law requires otherwise or we say so in writing.
Acceptable use
You must follow the Acceptable Use Policy. Do not attack the site, scrape listings to harm the service, post illegal content, or use Ticketkaran to commit fraud.
Intellectual property
Ticketkaran, the Ticketkaran logo, and the site design belong to Warx or its licensors. Event names, artist marks, and team marks belong to their owners. Do not copy the site or use our mark without written leave.
Disclaimers
- The platform is provided as is.
- We do not promise uninterrupted uptime, error-free seat maps, or that every organiser listing is perfect.
- We are not liable for venue rules, weather, traffic, or a performance quality you personally disliked.
Liability cap
To the maximum extent allowed under Indian law, Ticketkaran’s total liability for a claim about an order is limited to the amount you paid Ticketkaran for that order (excluding third-party payment fees we cannot recover).
This does not limit liability that Indian law does not allow us to limit (including certain consumer and product-liability rights, and liability for fraud or wilful misconduct).
Indemnity
You will indemnify Ticketkaran against claims, losses, and costs that arise from your breach of these terms, your event (if you are an organiser), or your misuse of tickets.
Changes
We may update these terms. The new version applies from the date we post it. Continued use means you accept the update. Material changes will be flagged on the site or by email where we reasonably can.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Erode, Tamil Nadu have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any non-waivable rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 (including the right to approach a consumer commission).
